Fino International
is one of the leading and finest interior fit-out contractors in the UAE with
four dedicated production facilities all under one roof. Of this the three
major facili Fino International is the appointed fit-out contractor of the 3 most prestigious packages on the Burj Dubai Project namely Armani Hotel & Apartments, Armani Hotel Public Areas and the Emaar Executive & Chairman’s Offices. The Armani Hotel & Apartments at Burj Dubai is the flagship hotel for the newly formed Armani Hotels & Resorts by Giorgio Armani and is the first hotel for this group. The hotel consists of 160 guestrooms on levels 5 – 8, 38 and 39, as well as 144 hotel apartments on levels 9 – 16. The interior design was personally done by Giorgio Armani in conjunction with Wilson & Assoc. out of Singapore. The selection of most of the material and finishes used in the project was hand picked by Armani himself. As with the Hotel & Apartments, the Public Areas, on levels B2, B1, Concourse, Ground and levels 1 – 3, were also designed by Giorgio Armani in conjunction with Wilson & Assoc.
Many of the base building material used on this project was specified out of the USA by the consultants SOM and fino International therefore imported over 100 x 40’ containers of drywall partitioning, waterproofing and acoustic flooring specific for this project. The third package awarded to Fino International is the complete fit-out of the Emaar Executive Offices which includes the Chairman’s office on levels 152 – 154, making them the highest occupied office space in the world. Other levels in this package include levels 112 – 121, 139 – 143. The material specified for this project is mainly USA based and fino International has to import and ship many products from there. The most challenging aspect of this project is a 15m high suspended staircase from levels 152 – 154 with marble treads and curved glass enclosure. Fino International will complete the Armani Hotel & Apartments by the end of 2008 and the Emaar Executive Offices will be handed over in the summer of 2009. |
